How do I reach the UPS CONNECT experts, and do they have tips for small businesses?

How long is the free consultation?
When we schedule the expert analysis, we plan for a 15-minute conversation, though we can make that shorter or longer to fit the amount of time—and the kinds of questions—you have. And you can talk to us as often as you’d like; there’s no limit to these brainstorm sessions.
Is “consultation” really just another way to say “sales call”?
Nope. We’re here to talk about you and your business. If, at the end of the consultation, you want to talk with a sales rep about adding UPS services and technologies, we’ll connect you to the right person for a separate conversation.

What kind of discounts are we talking about?

I already have a discount, and I don’t want to switch to the UPS CONNECT discount. Can I still take advantage of the other program benefits?
Of course. You can keep your current discounts and still get the dedicated support, free one-on-one business analyses, and custom content that UPS CONNECT offers.
If I choose to keep my current discount, can I still get the free trial of UPS Smart Pickup?
Unfortunately, the UPS Smart Pickup trial is part of the UPS CONNECT discount and is not available to those customers currently using other UPS discounts.
How much will UPS Smart Pickup be after a year?
Once your free trial is over, there will be a weekly flat charge for UPS Smart Pickup service. Check current rates here.
Will I be automatically billed for UPS Smart Pickup after my free trial ends?
Yes, you will be automatically billed.
Can I opt out of UPS Smart Pickup when the free trial ends?
You can change and manage your service options at any time. Update your preferences here.
What happens to my shipping discounts after my one-year anniversary with UPS CONNECT?

It says this program is free. Are there any fee-based features to the program?
Participation in UPS CONNECT is 100% free. As a member, you will only incur shipping-related fees once you begin shipping.
What do I need to do to get the UPS CONNECT discount?
You have three options: sign up online at ups.com®, call UPS CONNECT Support at for help signing up, or request a call.
How do I sign up online?
Get started here. New customers will need to create a user ID and a shipping account to get the program discounts. Current customers just need to log in and select the account they’d like to link to the discounts.
What is a My UPS ID, and how is it different than a UPS account?
Your My UPS ID allows you to ship, track, and manage your account (or accounts, if you have more than one). It’s also possible to have an ID without having an account.
A UPS account adds to those shipping and tracking capabilities: you get free packing materials and supplies, the ability to select from several pickup options, and weekly shipping bills so you don’t have to pay after each individual shipment.
I’m not sure if I have a UPS account or a My UPS ID. How do I find out?

How do I make sure I’m signed up for UPS Smart Pickup?
During sign-up, new customers should select “UPS Smart Pickup” when asked to choose a pickup option. Current customers should edit their account preferences to select “UPS Smart Pickup” as their pickup type.
